What if, as part of the upis1992 blog, we can create a simple database which will allow classmates to view people's:

1. full names (maiden and married names would be good to know for the women)
2. occupation (it doesn't have to be the actual job title but it has to tell us what they do for a living)
3. company
4. email address/contact info
5. geographic location

Here are the rules:

1. purely voluntary
2. contact info not to be used for spam or solicitation
3. database to be maintained by the webmaster
4. classmates send their info to webmaster

Here are the benefits:

1. instead of just sharing stories of our lives in highschool and elementary over sisig and beer (which we will do nonetheless), we can share our expertise in our new fields of work (e.g. do you need an anesthesiologist? meron tayo nyan. do you need a lawyer? meron tayo nyan. do you need entrepreuneurial advice? meron tayo nyan. do you need a percussionist? meron tayo nyan.)

2. instead of hiring or consulting with someone you don't know, you can at least make a judgement call on the person's character since you basically spent 11 years of your life growing up with the person while wearing khaki shorts or jeans and red skirts or blue skirts. (e.g. my kid needs a dentist. i don't really know a good dentist. i can find one in the phonebook. but wait, si emabel dentista. mabait naman siya nung highschool. maybe i can give her a call and i can have my kid see her. or she could at least refer me to a dentist she trusts in my neighborhood.)

That's it. Plus people in the same city/country will know who else is in the vicinity. Again this is purely voluntary.

It just makes sense now that we're all older and doing different things to earn a living. We can be each other's clients or advice-givers when we need it.
